Telling Time Match
Ages 5-8
Five analog clock faces on the left, five digital times on the right, and a line to draw between each matching pair. The times are all on the hour, so the minute hand stays on the 12 and the hour hand does the work.
Reading an analog face is a different skill from reading a digital one, and the step most children need practice with is simply noticing which hand is which. The short fat hand gives the hour; the long thin hand gives the minutes. The bonus challenge asks what time your child goes to bed, which is usually the moment telling time starts to feel useful rather than abstract.
Print it at home on letter paper. Free to use at home and in the classroom.
