Which Words Rhyme?
Ages 5-7
Six words on the left, six on the right, and every one has a partner that sounds the same at the end. Draw a line between each rhyming pair: cat, bug, fox, sun, bee and dog are all waiting for a match.
Say the words out loud as you go. Hearing the ending sound is the whole skill here, and it is one of the strongest early predictors of reading readiness. For the bonus challenge, think of one more word that rhymes with CAT.
